My first-ever photographic vacation

This year’s Easter holidays have been really special and exciting. What started with a longingly view on a picture taken on Helgoland by one of the members of Lindas exhibition group, developed into the idea that Antje, Maike and myself could be going on an Island-vacation. After the destination of our trip had to be changed more than once and one could get the impression that “going on vacation with a truly disabled could be harder than being a member during a Pope audience” we finally were lucky. At the Theodor-Schwartz-Haus of the Arbeiterwohlfahrt at Brodten (right in the middle between Timmendorf and Travemünde) we found a nice, barrier-free and very comfortable accommodation for beautiful days with nice and warm-hearted people.

Special thanks go to my parents: without them, the trip would not have been possible. Very convincing that all of us use cameras of the same manufacturer, so we were able to share our lenses. I for the first time made Macro-Experiences. It is still a pleasure how openly and easily Maike and Antje handle my disability and remove (photographical) obstacles. The pictures of our “beach to go” truly are worth a look. It have been magnificent, relaxing and pleasurable days and I can only hope that there are more experiences to come.
